Johnny Maestro lead singer of The Crests and later The Brooklyn Bridge has died of cancer at the age of 70 in Cape Coral, Fl. The biggest hit of "The Crests" was "16 Candles" and the Brooklyn Bridge earned a gold record for The Worst that Could Happen." "The Class Reunion" extends its sympathies to Johnny's family and friends.
